The new version of Lion King was made by Jon Favreau, who succeeded two years ago – re-The Jungle Book being a CGI film, I mean, successful live action earned nearly a billion dollars at the box office. Considering the audience’s love of the classic film The Lion King, this time the film is sure to get past that achievement easily.
Like the previous trailer, this trailer also offers a spectacular view of the African savanna with animals, such as deer, zebras, giraffes, etc., which look very realistic, accompanied by epic background music. However, before that, we were touched a little by the tragedy that would occur.
“Life isn’t fair, right, my little friend?” said Lion Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor) to his nephew, Simba. “Some are destined to eat, while others live in the dark, dredge up the rest.”
However, Simba’s father had a different outlook on life. “Everything you see is in balance,” Mufasa said to the child. James Earl Jones again filled the voice of the king of the forest as in his animated film.
Elton John was also recruited again to rearrange some of his original compositions. Likewise with Hans Zimmer who was also invited again to donate a score.
The rows of voices are filled with flashy names. Donald Glover will portray Simba, Beyonce as Nala, John Oliver as Zazu, Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari, as well as Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as the excited duo of Timon and Pumbaa. Especially for the last two characters, at the end of the trailer they will sing the iconic “Awimbawek Awimbawek” song.
