Netfilx Officialy End Jessica Jones And The Punisher Sequel

Slowly but surely Netflix began to clear up the Marvel superhero series that showed off at its streaming service. Following Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil, this time it was the turn of Jessica Jones and The Punisher which was not continued. Netflix’s bold steps also made Jessica Jones’ third season the last, as well as the second season of The Punisher.

Through Deadline, Netflix did not forget to thank all parties involved in making Jessica Jones and The Punisher, including Krysten Ritter and Jon Bernthal, who each played the character of the title. The studio also greatly appreciated the enthusiasm of the fans, because thanks to their support the ranks of the Marvel / Netflix series could become popular and go this far.

Collaborating with Marvel TV, Netflix itself presents a series of superheroes with approaches and stories that are darker and more mature, compared to the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Instead of being a weakness, the concept of “dark and gritty” carried by Netflix actually strengthens the quality of their series, so that there are those who become masterpieces like the third Daredevil season.

This approach is also applied to The Defenders (which also do not continue), which basically The Avengers ala Netflix with members include Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A similar concept is also maintained to work on the Punisher series which highlights the antihero Marvel’s brutal actions. With the end of football from this series, Netflix officially parted ways with Marvel TV.

Meanwhile, no one knows for sure why Netflix retired Daredevil and other Marvel series, while watching their superheroes is still popular and has a large fan community. But many people believe, Netflix’s decision has something to do with the launch of Disney +, the Disney streaming service.
